Neil Cockburn has been Director of Music at the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer, in Calgary since 2015.
He directs multiple choral groups at the Cathedral, including Chorus Angelorum - a choir for upper voices, as well as the Cathedral Choir of paid Section Leads and auditioned volunteer singers.
He has led the Cathedral Choir on two residencies abroad: in 2016 to Ely Cathedral, U.K., and in 2019 to Salisbury Cathedral, U.K., and Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin.
The Cathedral Choir is currently preparing to sing a concert performance of G.F. Handel's Israel in Egypt with chamber orchestra (Postponed as of March 2020 due to COVID-19).
